The Guardian listed its Top 40 holiday destinations for 2014. Cape Town, South Africa takes the top spot on the chart. South Africa was designated World Design Capital 2014 because it gives tourists the chance to see some 450 art exhibitions while also offering world-class coffee. Uzès, France comes in second. And of course there are other places like: 3. Austin, Texas, US 4. Carmarthenshire, UK 5. Kolkata, India 6. São Tomé and Príncipe 7. Alaçatı, Turkey 8. George Town, Malaysia 9. Alberta, Canada 10. Bordeaux, France Taiwan with its world-famous food places at 35.
