Ayaz Nizami Qawwal was honoured with “AMEER KHUSRO AWARD” by Karwan-e- Adab in 2007. He had a successful tour of India in 2008 where he had performed in the estimation of all major artists and was highly appreciated. He was honoured with “GUL-E-KHUSRO” title with certificate in 2008 by the Nizami Foundation. He received “KHAWAJA GHAREEB NAWAZ AWARD” in 2010, then in 2011, he received the “AWARD-2011” by Fatima Surraiya Bajia (Ex-Provincial Advisor). In June 2011, the Provincial Minister of Auqaf, Abdul Haseeb honoured him with the “BEST PERFORMANCE AWARD”. Ayaz Ahmed has had many international tours so far. In 2010, he presented Pakistan in Oslo, Norway into the Oslo Mela and was highly appreciated by his performance. Ayaz Ahmed is proficient in different languages such as Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Poorbi, Urdu and Punjabi. Ayaz Ahmed has complete command over Amir Khusro’s specific composition, “BANDISHAIN”, QOL, QALBANA, NAQSH, GUL AND TARANA.. Ayaz Ahmed can also sing Khayal, Sargam, Tarana, Thumri, Ghazal and Geet other than Qawwali very well. Several companies have released his various CD’s and VCD’s with one of his very specific item (TOM TANANANA) which is very famous all over the world among all listeners. Ayaz Ahmed aims to promote Qawwali and Classical music up to maximum level. He is busy with his Art in order to enlighten the name of Pakistan with twinkling stars.
