A forest fire near Madrid has forced more than 2,000 residents to flee. The towns of Robledo de Chavela, Santamaría de la Alameda and Valdemaqueda have been affected. Some 600 members of the rescue services and Madrid's fire department worked overnight to stop the blaze reaching residential areas.
