2009 National Lottery Awards winners announced

At a special red carpet awards ceremony, the UK’s favourite Lottery-funded projects were revealed. Seven winners emerged following a tough competition in which hundreds of thousands of votes were cast by the public. The winners were Harbour Place Day Centre (Best Voluntary/Charity Project), The Jennifer Trust’s Spinal Muscular Atrophy Outreach Service (Best Health Project), Restoration of Stourport-on-Severn Canal Basins (Best Heritage Project), Tower Hamlets Summer University (Best Education Project), Community Sports Pavilion (Best Sports Project), RSPB Dearne Valley (Best Environment Project) and SPACE (Best Arts Project)
