Easter Egg To Beatles' Yellow Submarine In 1967 Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea Episode? смотреть онлайн

In a previous video I pointed out a possible future reference to The Beatles' 1995 release of music single Free As A Bird in 1964 Roger Corman horror film The Masque Of The Red Death. Based on the 19th century story by Edgar Allen Poe, the adaptation featured a cast with Vincent Price, Jane Asher & Patrick Magee. Amazingly, this may not be the only such visual reference to song titles or lyrics of The Beatles in a Vincent Price film. An Easter Egg To The Beatles' 1966 song Yellow Submarine may be seen in a 1967 episode of sci-fi TV series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. - Price guest stars in S4.E2 The Deadly Dolls , playing a puppeteer professor who attempts to hijack the sub. While not yellow in color, The Seaview was sold as a toy in that color. For season 2, a mini Flying Sub was added, seen in the above story, which is indeed yellow. - Another good reference involving Price may be the 1966 Mario Bava directed comedy Dr. Goldfoot And The Girl Bombs. At 27 minutes, 45 seconds Goldfoot can be seen standing at a periscope (partially yellow in color) spying on a meeting of generals. - 19th century author Edgar Allen Poe appears on the album cover to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) (center image, back row). Price starred in several film adaptations of Poe's material.
