The United Nations has condemned attacks on Indonesian peacekeepers killed in separate incidents in southern Lebanon, amid escalating violence linked to the Israel-Hezbollah conflict. UN peacekeeping chief Jean-Pierre Lacroix said the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in Lebanon is investigating “to determine the circumstances of these tragic developments”. He added the UN remains “seriously concerned” over a string of aggressive incidents targeting UNIFIL personnel in recent days.
