Taiwan’s Electricity Rate Review Committee has approved a 0.71% increase in household electricity prices starting in October while industrial rates will remain frozen. Small studio homes will spent about US$1 more per month on average while larger households of six or more will pay about US$4 more. The economy ministry says industrial prices were held to avoid compounding inflationary pressures including from US tariffs..
