Comm Datuk M. Kumar has officially been appointed Bukit Aman Criminal Investigations Department director, taking over from acting director DCP Datuk Fadil Marsus. Speaking at the handover ceremony in Bukit Aman on Friday (Aug 8), Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said Kumar’s experience made him the right choice, stressing the need for the CID to adapt to modern crimes, including those using artificial intelligence, and to strengthen digital forensics.
