Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly thanked the Security Service and General Vasyl Maliuk for carrying out one of the boldest operations of the war: the drone strike involving 117 UAVs against strategic air bases inside Russia. According to Zelensky, the operation — which took more than a year and a half to prepare — struck 34% of Russia’s strategic bombers capable of launching cruise missiles. Most remarkably, the Ukrainian operational base on Russian soil was located right next to a regional FSB office.
