The Ponggal festival celebration aims to revive traditional customs and cultural practices among the younger generation, says Datuk N. Sivakumar. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday (Jan 1) in Batu Caves, Selangor, the Sri Maha Mariamman Devasthanam Management trustee announced that the event, set for Jan 19, will feature a variety of activities highlighting the rich heritage of Tamil culture.
