Heavy snow has caused travel chaos and closed schools in northern areas of the UK. Near Belfast, cars skidded off roads in difficult driving conditions, in the Shetland Islands a cyclist managed to get through deep snow as children enjoyed playing as over 120 schools closed in northern Scotland.
