Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jerry Acuzar, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Romando Artes, Metro Manila Council President and San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, conduct an ocular inspection along the San Juan River in Baranga y Batis, San Juan City on Monday, Jan. 15, to determine the scope of the MMDA’s “Neighborhood Upgrading (NU) Project: Beautification of San Juan River Easements . The NU project is still part of MMDA’s environmental program wherein they tap local government and partner with them to clean up and improve the overall banks along the Pasig River and its tributaries.
