Wales headlines 27 February: Wales bottom in six nations, marriage laws change, northern lights visible from Wales
Описание
Wales sit bottom of the six nations table after the loss to England on the weekend. The 20-10 defeat means Wales have suffered their worst start to the tournament since 2007, and have lost all of their home games for the first time since 2003. The legal age a person can marry in England and Wales has been increased to 18 as a new law comes into effect. Previously, it was possible to marry at 16 or 17 with parental consent, but now, all marriages, including non-legally binding ceremonies are against the law. The UK government said it means vulnerable children were protected from forced marriage. Night sky watchers had a massive treat on Sunday night as the northern lights could be seen as far south as the Brecon Beacons. The Aurora Borealis, was caused by a solar flare shot off by the sun, causing the rare occurrence, with the possibility of more sightings across Wales this week.
