Chinese troops in Russia as multinational military drills open in far east

Russia's Defence Ministry on August 31, 2022, released footage of the opening ceremony for the multinational military drills in the country’s far eastern Primorsky territory. The manoeuvres, code named “Vostok-2022”, are set to be held from September 1 to 7. Russia, China, India, Laos, Mongolia, Nicaragua and Syria will also join the exercises.
