Unemployment rate jumps as more people look for work ahead of lockdowns easing

The Bureau of Statistics says the national jobless rate rose by more than half a percent in October on a seasonally adjusted basis. On the other side, participation in the workforce has increased as those who weren't looking for work have begun searching for jobs again.
