After drawing criticism for the toxic foam layers forming on Yamuna River, the Delhi government launched a drive wherein the Jal Board employees were engaged to sprinkle water in the river to dissipate the foam. However, the Chhath Puja Samiti president has alleged that this drive is an attempt of the government to cover up its failure.
