An innovative vaccine combatting a deadly childhood disease has taken out one of Australia’s top science awards. The Eureka Prize for Infectious Diseases Research was awarded to Professor Julie Bines for her work in developing a vaccine for rotavirus. It's a disease that kills some 250-thousand children the world over every year.
