A day after violence claimed eight lives in Lakhimpur Kheri of Uttar Pradesh, District Magistrate Arvind Kumar Chaurasiya on October 4 received a memorandum with a list of demands from farmers. “I've received a memorandum demanding the dismissal of MoS Home (AK Mishra), registration of FIR based on their complaint, payment of ex gratia and government jobs to the family of the deceased and judicial probe into yesterday’s incident,” said DM Arvind Kumar.
