Piyush Goyal hopes PLI scheme for textile sector will produce global champions

Union Minister Piyush Goyal on September 8 said that he hopes that the PLI scheme for textile sector will produce some global champions. He said, “The factories based around aspirational districts or Tier-3 & Tier-4 cities will be given priority. It will especially benefit Gujarat, UP, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana etc”.
