Minister of State of External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi on Thursday sparked controversy after her comments on protesting farmers. “They are not farmers, they are hooligans... These are criminal acts. What happened on January 26 was also shameful criminals activities. Opposition promoted such activities,” said Lekhi. She made the comments while reacting to an alleged attack on a mediaperson at Jantar Mantar.
