The Power Panchayat came to the fore with a letter written by AP Engineer-in-Chief Narayana Reddy to the Member Secretary of the Krishna River Management Board. The AP government has once again objected to the use of water from the Srisailam project , to Telangana Genco without the permission of the Krishna River Board. The AP government has complained to the Krishna River Board that the Telangana government has been consuming water irrespective of the allocation for power generation since June 1.
