The renewed spike in daily Covid-19 cases and deaths in Gujarat's Surat has prompted the authorities to reopen a crematorium that was lying closed for 15 years. While over 100 bodies are being cremated daily in Surat as per the Covid guidelines, there still is an 8-10 hour waiting which is why the administration has decided to reopen a crematorium that was closed for the last 15 years.
