An army major was among six enforcement personnel charged at the Sessions Court in Kota Tinggi, Johor on Thursday (Aug 27) with assisting a human smuggling syndicate. The accused, comprising two army officers and four policemen, were allegedly aided an organised crime syndicate “Geng Otong” between Sept 28, 2017 and April 2020 in the district.
