Finas Act should not be used against Al Jazeera, says Kluang MP

An Opposition MP has criticised Putrajaya for using the National Film Development Corporation (Finas) Act 1981 against Al Jazeera, saying that it’s a form of intimidation to silence media practitioners. Kuang MP Wong Shu Qi said the Act is a law aimed at regulating the film industry and it should not be used by the Government to control news outlets.
