Gujarat govt announces 10 pc reservations for economically backward class

In a huge win for Patidar agitators, the Gujarat government on Friday declared 10 pc reservations in jobs and higher education institution for the economically-backward class from all non-reserved castes. The new quota will be addition to the existing 49 pc in the state.
