Korea ordered all bars and nightclubs in its capital city to be closed indefinitely on Saturday. According to Business Insider, the move came after a COVID-19 outbreak in Seoul was linked to them. Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon said as many as 40 new cases could be traced to nightclubs in the city. On Wednesday a man diagnosed with COVID-19 said he had visited three nightclubs in the Itaewon area of the city. Earlier this week, residents had been encouraged to begin returning to their daily lives.
