Multiple protests broke out in parts of Chennai on Friday, 14 February night, after police lathi-charged and detained anti-CAA protesters from the city’s Old Washermanpet area. Chennai police detained around 100 protesters and released them overnight, after asking them to maintain peace during protests, police said.
