CAA protests: Security beefed up in Karnataka after imposition of Section 144 in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Dec 19: Security has been beefed up across Karnataka, as some organisations (Left parties and Muslim organizations) called for a ‘bandh’ in the state to protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 and National Register of Citizens (NRC). Section 144 has been imposed throughout Bengaluru including rural Districts. Police have been deployed at Bengaluru’s Town Hall area also.
