Typhoon Hagibis is growing to monster proportions in the western Pacific Ocean, reaching a Super Typhoon status on Monday. According to the Korean Meteorological Administration, as of 10 am today, Hagibis is moving northwest towards Okinawa, Japan. It is projected to turn northeast on Saturday, and approach Tokyo by Sunday morning, with a wind speed of 126 kilometers per hour. With the projected route, South Korea may be indirectly impacted, seeing showers or high waves along the eastern coast. However, the government is keeping an eye on the storm as it gains strength and could still shift course.
