Saifuddin: Hike in food prices due to over-reliance on imports

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail on Tuesday said Malaysia’s over-reliance on imports is one of the reasons that contributed to the hike in prices of food items. Saifuddin said this in his speech at the launch of the Malaysia Competition Commission's (MyCC) report titled Market Review on Food Sector under the Competition Act 2010.
