MANILA, Philippines – The London Marathon will go ahead as planned this Sunday, despite the bomb attack on the Boston Marathon. The 26-mile London Marathon is expected to host 36,000 runners, among them Britain’s double Olympic champion Mo Farah. The London race was first run in 1981 and has since become a centerpiece of the sporting calendar in Britain. The metropolitan police is now reviewing its security arrangements.
