JNU Row: Kanhaiya Kumar attacked by lawyers in court

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar was assaulted by lawyers when he was entering a Patiala House court room here on Wednesday, witnesses said. Kanhaiya Kumar was brought to the court since he is facing a sedition charge. He was escorted to the court by a posse of police personnel. His arrest has triggered a political storm. Delhi Police Commissioner, BS Bassi has justified the arrest of JNU student Union President, Kanhaiya Kumar saying he was involved in anti-national sloganeering during Afzal event.
