The Delhi High court has quashed the Aam Aadmi Party government’s plea for an audit of power distribution companies by the Comptroller and Auditor General. The court has said that the CAG can’t audit private companies. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has issued a statement “disagreeing” with the verdict and has termed it a 'setback' for the public. Alleging that it is a known fact that Discoms indulge in large scale loot, the party is now set to appeal before the Apex Court.
