Unidentified gunmen shot at and killed a retired police officer in Kulgam district of south Kashmir late Tuesday night, police said. Bashir Ahmad Dar, who retired as Deputy Superintendent of Police, was rushed to a local hospital after he was shot at in his ancestral village of Ashmuji. He was in critical condition and died later.
