CBI to probe Narendra Dabholkar murder case
Описание
Bombay High Court on Tuesday put the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on notice. The high court was hearing a public interest litigation which wanted the murder case of anti-superstition activist Narendra Dabholkar probed by an independent agency. Dabholkar, who spearheaded the anti-superstition movement in Maharashtra, was shot dead in Pune on August 20, 2013. A division bench headed by Justice PV Hardas and Justice AS Gadkari issued the notice while hearing a plea filed by former journalist Ketan Tirodkar. Tirodkar was allowed to amend his petition and include CBI as a respondent instead of the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
