Italian Marines case: Supreme Court will hear the case against marines today

The Centre will on Monday make its stand clear before the Supreme Court on disputes arising out of the issue of invoking anti-piracy law against two Italian marines accused of killing two Indian fishermen off Kerala coast in 2012. A bench headed by Justice B S Chauhanhad on Feb 18 asked the government to respond by today. Attorney General G E Vahanvati is likely to appraise the court with the Law Ministry's opinion on the matter.
