<p>Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies and other first responders rescued a man from a car that had exited Interstate 75 near Seffner, Florida, and sunk into a retention pond on Thursday, September 27.</p><p>Patch</a> reported the driver was able to climb onto the roof of the sunken vehicle and was helped onto dry ground using a ladder.</p><p>Nicholas Fry, the driver of the vehicle, told WFTS Tampa Bay</a> that he lost control due to the rain-slicked road.
