<p>Parts of Glacier National Park in Montana were evacuated on August 12, after lightening strikes resulted in a fire at Howe Ridge, above Lake McDonald in the park.</p><p>According to the park authorities</a> the evacuation impacted about 50 individuals who own private homes, several NPS employees residing at the Lake McDonald Ranger Station, and campers at the 87-site Avalanche Creek Campground.
