<p>Protesters gathered in New York City on June 26 to voice their opposition to the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold a travel ban that targets people from several Muslim-majority countries.</p><p>In a 5-4 decision, Supreme Court Justices ruled President Donald Trump had “ample power”</a> to impose entry restrictions on nationals of Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.</p><p>All four Supreme Court Justices who voted against the decision filed a dissenting opinion. Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote,</a> “Taking all the relevant evidence together, a reasonable observer would conclude that the Proclamation was driven primarily by anti-Muslim animus, rather than by the Government’s asserted national-security justifications.”</p><p>In this footage, Muslim activist Linda Sarsour addresses a crowd of protesters in New York.
