Before dawn on Wednesay, around one thousand people crowded on a hilltop outside Los Angeles. The crowd was gathered for one of the best views in America of a rare lunar eclipse called a “Super Blue Blood Moon.” People lounged on the grass and peered through telescopes outside the Griffith Observatory. The eclipse began at 3:48 a.m. Pacific Time in western North America. Onlooker Monique Ramirez said, Once we got up here, the moon looked so much closer. So it was cool seeing it like that.
