CIMB Thai 9M profit falls 6.3% to THB900m

CIMB Thai Bank's consolidated net profit fell 6.3% to 900 million Thai baht in the nine months ended Sept 30, 2014, It's mainly due to higher operating expenses and provisions. In a statement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the Thai unit of CIMB Group Holdings Bhd said the higher provisions, which went up 67.4 percent, mainly arose from economic uncertainties experienced in Thailand since 2013.
