Russian Olympic Team Barred From 2018 Winter Olympics

The Russian Olympic team will not be allowed to attend the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. According to the International Olympic Committee, the decision follows a 17-month investigation into a state-sponsored doping program. However, Russian athletes will be allowed to compete individually in a neutral uniform, should they pass a regime of drug tests. The IOC also barred government officials from attending, and will not fly the Russian flag during the opening ceremony.
