<p>A lion attacked and wounded its trainer during a performance at the Buffalo Circus in Doullens, near Amiens, on May 7.</p><p>Dramatic video from a woman in the audience shows the lion grappling with the trainer before being subdued, allowing the trainer to escape.</p> <p>The trainer, named in French reports</a> as Steeve Loberot, was badly wounded in the head and throat, and transported by helicopter to a hospital in Amiens.
