A tribal man in Odisha’s Kalahandi district carried the dead body of his wife on his shoulders for 10 Kms after hospital authorities refuse to a mortuary van or an ambulance. Despite all his efforts, the man Dana Manjhi could not get any help from the hospital authorities. Then his husband wrapped his wife’s body in a cloth and blanket and walked with his 12 yr old daughter.
