Droughts create acute severe malnutrition in Southern Madagascar

The government of Madagascar has declared a state of emergency for southern Madagascar. After two years of prolonged droughts that have impacted agricultural activities, and a lack of access to food, healthcare, water and sanitation there has been an increase in cases of severe acute malnutrition cases.
