Health Minister: Fruits of independence made M'sians obese

Health Minister Dr S Subramaniam today lamented that the country's worrying obesity rate is the result of Malaysia's independence from its colonial masters. He said development from an agro-based to an industrialised-based country resulted in the change of lifestyle which one of the factors for obesity.
