Munoz, now 19, committed the offense in March of 2013 as a student at River Valley High School in Yuba City, California. She was convicted of felony child endangerment and misdemeanor possession of marijuana on school grounds when she pleaded no contest to the charges. Munoz enlisted the help of two younger classmates to sell the brownies. She was caught when a student who had ingested a brownie became sick. Munoz later told police she was hoping to raise extra money to buy a dress for prom.
