At least one person was killed after a small aircraft crashed near the runway of a Colorado airport. The aircraft, believed to be a single-engined Mooney, took off from the Boulder Municipal Airport at around 7:40 a.m. on Monday. For unknown reasons, the plane crashed during takeoff. Rescuers placed a sheet over wreckage after the fire was put out. The wreckage site is some 50 yards away from the nearest runway.
