Ahmedabad: Gujarat University officials were shocked to receive a bill of around Rs 50,000 from eight senate members as travel and daily allowances (TA & DA) for attending a recently held senate meeting on campus. A National Students Union of India (NSUI) senate member put up the maximum bill of Rs 8,600. In total, the meeting held on March 30 at GU cost the varsity about Rs 75,000.
