Brazilians dressed up as zombies flooded the streets of Rio de Janeiro on Sunday to celebrate the Day of the Dead. Nearly a thousand animated corpses with oozing wounds gathered in front of Copacabana beach, aiming to scare the living. The crowd walked nearly 5 kilometres, screaming and pretending to fight against furious humans. Makeup artist and zombie walk participant Natalia Queiroz said that the event was a great opportunity to change the gloomy atmosphere of the Day of the Dead.
